And this is the part most people miss – the sheer value! Getting this collection in 4K for under twenty dollars is an absolute steal.
But here's where it gets controversial... Is this a limited-time offer? Will the price jump back up? It's best to grab it now if you're a fan.
The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection includes these iconic films:
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
- A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985)
- A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) – Often considered a high point in the series.
- A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)
- A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989)
- A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Final Nightmare (1994)
- Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) – A meta-horror film that cleverly deconstructs the franchise.
Speaking of the franchise, let's take a trip down memory lane. A personal note: A Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror film I ever saw in a theater. Now, I know what you’re thinking: “That’s impossible! You weren’t even born yet!” And you’d be right. However, my father had a friend who ran a small, independent movie theater back in the early 1980s. He managed to get a print of the film and screened it for me in 1984. My mother was quite upset – not so much that I was seeing a horror movie, but that she hadn’t been included in the experience! My dad definitely caught some heat for that one. That single screening sparked a lifelong love of horror films, which became a constant presence in our household. It’s amazing how a single experience can shape a passion.
Looking ahead, what does the future hold for Freddy Krueger? Robert Englund, the legendary actor who is Freddy, recently spoke with Bloody Disgusting (https://bloody-disgusting.com/interviews/3907060/robert-englund-talks-the-future-of-nightmare-on-elm-street-who-should-play-freddy-next-interview/) about the possibility of a reboot. He suggested that if a reboot were to happen, starting with Dream Warriors would be a smart move, given its memorable opening sequence that essentially serves as a “Previously on Nightmare on Elm Street” recap.
“I don’t know if they should ever reboot Part 1 again,” Englund stated. “They could do it as a prequel, like Tobe Hooper did with Freddy’s Nightmares. Really do a backstory before, so you have the story of Nancy and Tina and Glen and everything going on, but you start even before that. That’s what I would do.” He also added that there are many talented directors who could bring a fresh perspective to the Nightmare on Elm Street universe.
Now, here's a thought to chew on: Do you think a prequel focusing on the origins of Freddy Krueger would be a compelling approach, or would it risk tarnishing the legacy of the original films?
Don't miss out on this incredible deal! Head over to iTunes now and secure your 4K copies of the Nightmare on Elm Street collection before they're gone. You won't regret it!
